Outside air temperature
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2011 Suzuki SX4. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- BCM calculates outside air temperature using signal from outside air temperature sensor and sends outside air temperature signal through CAN communication to combination meter.
- Display range of outside air temperature is from -30 °C (-22 °F) to 50 °C (122 °F). When ignition switch is turned on, "-°C (-°F)" appears on LCD until outside air temperature signal is received. Also, there is freezing mark (1) which warns driver of frozen road surface.NOTE:
- Freezing mark (1) turns on when outside air temperature drops lower than 3 °C (37.4 °F) and turns off when it rises to 5 °C (41 °F).)
- Displayed valve is not changed when vehicle is at stop or running at lower than 30 km/h (19 mile/h) even if outside air temperature rises.
