Seat Position Sensor Removal and Installation

Removal

1) Disconnect negative cable at battery.
2) Disable air bag system referring to Disabling Air Bag System Disabling Air Bag System:Advanced Air Bag.
3) Remove front seat referring to Removal and Installation Front Seat Removal and Installation.
4) Disconnect seat position sensor connector at seat harness.
5) Remove seat position sensor cover (3).
6) Remove seat position sensor bolt (1) and seat position sensor (2) from seat adjuster.






Installation

Seat Position Sensor and Its Circuit Inspection:Advanced Air Bag
1) Install seat position sensor (1) on seat adjuster and tighten seat position sensor bolt to specified torque.

Tightening torque
Tightening torque (a): 8 Nm (0.8 kgf-m, 6.0 lbf-ft)

2) Install seat position sensor cover (2).





3) Connect seat position sensor connector at seat harness.
4) Install front seat referring to Removal and Installation Front Seat Removal and Installation.
5) Enable air bag system referring to Enabling Air Bag System Enabling Air Bag System:Advanced Air Bag.
6) Connect negative cable at battery.
