Brake Hose/Line: Testing and Inspection

Brake Hose and Pipe Inspection

Perform this inspection where these is enough light and use a mirror as necessary.

- Check brake hoses and pipes for proper hookup, leaks, cracks, chafing and other damage.
- Check that hoses and pipes are clear of sharp edges and moving parts.

Replace these parts as necessary.

NOTE:

If you do not bleed air from the brake system after replacement of a brake pipe or hose, brake system performance may be affected.

Be sure to bleed the brake system referring to Service and Repair Air Bleeding of Brake System
after replacement of a brake pipe or hose.
