DTC Troubleshooting

1.
Was "ESP(R) System Check" performed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to ESP System Check ESP(R) System Check.

2. DTC check for ESP(R)

Perform DTC Check DTC Check.

Is DTC U0073 and/or U0100 detected?
YES -
Go to applicable DTC troubleshooting.
NO -
Go to Step 3.

3. Brake light switch circuit check

Check brake light, brake light switch and their circuit. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures

Are they in good condition?
YES -
Substitute a known-good ESP(R) control module and recheck DTC. ESP Hydraulic Unit / Control Module Assembly Removal and Installation
NO -
Repair or replace.
