Line Pressure Test: Notes
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
Purpose of this test is to check operating conditions of each part by measuring fluid pressure in fluid pressure line.
Line pressure test requires following conditions.
- Automatic fluid is at normal operating temperature (70 - 80 °C/158 - 176 °F).
- Fluid is filled to proper level (between FULL and LOW on dipstick).
- Air conditioner switch is turned OFF.
- Apply parking brake securely and place chocks against wheels.
- Remove fluid pressure check hole plug bolt.
- Attach oil pressure gauge to fluid pressure check hole in transmission case.
Special Tool
(A): 09925-37811-001
NOTE: If fluid is leaking from the oil pressure gauge connection, accurate readings cannot be obtained. - Depress foot brake fully, run engine at idle and stall then check fluid pressure in "D" or "R" range.AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION LINE PRESSURE
"D" range "R" range At idle speed 304 - 362 kPa (3.1 - 3.7 kgf/cm2 , 44 - 53 psi) 440 - 538 kPa (4.5 - 5.5 kgf/cm2 , 64 - 78 psi) At stall speed 1161 - 1321 kPa (11.8 - 13.5 kgf/cm2 , 168 - 192 psi) 1485 - 1791 kPa (15.2 - 18.3 kgf/cm2 , 216 - 260 psi) - If check result is OK, disconnect special tool, then tighten fluid pressure check hole bolt to specified torque.
Tightening torque
Fluid pressure check hole bolt: 8 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 6.0 lbf-ft)
