Engine Block Heater (If Equipped) Removal And Installation: Installation

Reference: ENGINE BLOCK HEATER (IF EQUIPPED) INSPECTION

Reverse removal procedure for installation, noting the following.

Install engine block heater (1) in the direction as shown in figure.

Tighten engine block heater mounting bolt (1) to specified torque.
Tightening torque

Engine block heater mounting bolt a: 11 N.m (1.1 kg-m, 8.0 lb-ft)

Use new exhaust manifold gasket.
Tighten exhaust manifold mounting bolts and nuts to specified torque referring to EXHAUST MANIFOLD REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Refill coolant referring to COOLING SYSTEM FLUSH AND REFILL .
Finally, start engine and check for engine coolant leaks and exhaust gas leakage.
