Starting Motor Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Disconnect negative (-) cable from battery.
  2. Remove intake manifold. Refer to INTAKE MANIFOLD REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Disconnect magnetic switch lead wire (1) and starting motor cable (2) from starting motor.
  4. Remove starting motor mounting bolts (3).
  5. Remove starting motor (4).
