Radiator Cooling Fan Relay Inspection

  1. Disconnect negative (-) cable from battery.
  2. Remove radiator cooling fan relays No. 1 (1), No. 2 (2) and No. 3 (3) from relay box.

  3. Check each of radiator cooling fan relays No. 1 and No. 2 (2) as follows.
    1. Check that there is no continuity between relay terminals "C" and "D".

      If there is continuity, replace relay.

    2. Connect battery positive (+) terminal to relay terminal "B".
    3. Connect battery negative (-) terminal to relay terminal "A".
    4. Check continuity between terminals "C" and "D". If there is no continuity, replace relay.

  4. Check radiator cooling fan relay No. 3 as follows.
    1. Check that there is no continuity between terminals "C" and "D".

      If there is continuity, replace relay.

    2. Check continuity between terminals "C" and "E". If there is no continuity, replace relay.
    3. Connect battery positive (+) terminal to relay terminal "B".
    4. Connect battery negative (-) terminal to terminal "A" of relay.
    5. Check continuity between terminals "C" and "D". If there is no continuity, replace relay.
