Transfer Oil Seal Removal and Installation

Removal

1) Lift up vehicle and drain transfer oil.
2) Remove propeller shaft as follows.
- Front:
a) Remove front propeller shaft. Propeller Shaft Removal and Installation
b) Remove front output flange from front output shaft (4). Disassembly and Reassembly
- Rear:
- Remove rear propeller shaft. Propeller Shaft Removal and Installation
3) Remove front oil seal No.1 (1), O-ring (3) and/or rear oil seal (2) using flat end rod or the like.






Installation

1) Install new oil seal using special tool and plastic hammer, and then apply grease to oil seal lip.

Grease: 99000-25011 (SUZUKI Super Grease A)

2) Install propeller shaft as follows.
- Front:
a) Install new O-ring.
b) Install front output flange.
c) Install front propeller shaft. Propeller Shaft Removal and Installation
- Rear:
- Install rear propeller shaft. Propeller Shaft Removal and Installation
3) Fill transfer with oil referring to Removal and Replacement Transfer Oil Change:.
