Cruise Test - Part 3

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

1	CHECK SHIFT-DOWN Confirm overdrive control switch is ON position. Confirm gear selector lever is in "D" position. Accelerate vehicle using half-throttle to D5. Release accelerator pedal. Set overdrive control switch to OFF position while driving in D₅ . With SDT Read the gear position. Does A/T shift from D ₅ to D ₄ (O/D OFF)?	GO TO 2.	Record the malfunction, GO TO 2.
2	CHECK SHIFT-DOWN During D₄ driving, move gear selector from D → 3 → 2 → 1. With SDT Read the gear position. Is downshifting correctly performed?	GO TO 3.	Record the malfunction, GO TO 3.
3	CHECK ENGINE BRAKE Check engine brake. Does engine braking effectively reduce speed in 11 position?	Stop the vehicle. Carry out "DTC check". Refer to [SDT FUNCTION (AT) ].	Record the malfunction, then continue the trouble diagnosis.
