Power Steering Oil Pump: Removal and Installation: Installation

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

• On VQ40DE, install the bolts to specification in the order shown.

• After installation, bleed the air from the hydraulic circuit thoroughly. Refer to [AIR BLEEDING HYDRAULIC SYSTEM ].

  Power steering pump to bracket bolt (1) 64.7 N.m (6.6 kg-m, 48 ft-lb) 

  Power steering pump to block bolt (2) 28 N.m (2.9 kg-m, 21 ft-lb) 

  NOTE: Belt tension is automatic and requires no adjustment.
