Circuit/System Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Suzuki XL7. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector C1 at the rear differential clutch control module.
- Ignition ON, verify a test lamp does not illuminate between the following control circuit terminals and ground:
- Coil supply circuit terminal 5
- Low reference circuit terminal 3
- If the test lamp illuminates, test the appropriate control circuit for a short to voltage.
- Ignition OFF, test for infinite resistance between the following control circuit terminals and ground:
- Coil supply circuit terminal 5
- Low reference circuit terminal 3
- If less than the specified value, test the appropriate control circuit for a short to ground.
- Test for less than 5.0 ohms of resistance between the coil supply terminal 5 and the low reference circuit terminal 3.
- If greater than the specified range, test both control circuits for an open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal, replace the differential clutch coil.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the CCM.
