Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE .
  2. Place a drain pan under the transaxle to catch any spilled transaxle fluid.
  3. Remove the right front wheel drive shaft. Refer to REMOVAL PROCEDURE and REMOVAL PROCEDURE .
  4. If equipped with an axle seal dust cover, discard it and do not replace it.

  5. Using the J 45000 remove the right drive axle seal from the transaxle.
  6. Clean the seal bore in the transaxle housing.
