Removal Procedure

Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE .
Place a drain pan under the transaxle to catch any spilled transaxle fluid.
Remove the left front axle shaft. Refer to REMOVAL PROCEDURE and REMOVAL PROCEDURE .

Using the J 45000, remove the axle seal from the transaxle and discard.
Clean the seal bore in the transaxle housing.
