Diagnosis Procedure

Regarding Wiring Diagram information, refer to [FRONT WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEM: WIRING DIAGRAM ].

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

Step Action YES NO
1  CHECK IPDM E/R OUTPUT VOLTAGE 
  1. Turn the ignition switch ON.
  2. Disconnect front wiper motor.
  3. Turn the ignition switch ON.
  4. Check voltage between front wiper motor harness connector and ground.

Is the measurement value normal? 		 Replace front wiper motor. Refer to [Wiper Motor and Linkage: Removal and Installation ]. GO TO 2
2  CHECK FRONT WIPER MOTOR (AUTO STOP) SHORT CIRCUIT 
  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
  2. Disconnect IPDM E/R connector E122.
  3. Check continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector and front wiper motor harness connector.
  4. Check continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal? 		 Repair or replace harness.
Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to [IPDM E/R (INTELLIGENT POWER DISTRIBUTION MODULE ENGINE ROOM): REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ]		 Repair or replace harness.
