Low-Pressure A/C Pipe




Low-Pressure A/C Pipe: Removal and Installation

Removal

1) Discharge the refrigerant. Refer to [HFC-134a (R-134a) Service Procedure] Service and Repair.
2) Disconnect the low-pressure flexible A/C hose from the low pressure pipe.

CAUTION:
Cap or wrap the joint of the pipe with suitable material such as vinyl tape to avoid the entry of air.

3) Remove the low pressure pipe from the expansion valve.

CAUTION:
Cap or wrap the joint of the pipe with suitable material such as vinyl tape to avoid the entry of air.

4) Remove the low-pressure A/C pipe.

Installation

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

Refer to [Refrigeration System: Component] Component.

CAUTION:

- Do not reuse O-rings.
- Apply A/C oil to the O-ring of the low-pressure A/C pipe for installation.
- After charging refrigerant, check for leaks.
