CVT Fluid Temperature Sensor On-Vehicle Inspection

CAUTION: Do not remove CVT fluid temperature sensor from CVT assembly. If faulty condition is found, replace CVT assembly.
  1. Turn ignition switch to "OFF" position.
  2. Disconnect connector (1) from solenoid harness.
  3. Check for proper terminal connection to solenoid harness connector.
  4. Check resistance of CVT fluid temperature sensor and its circuit between terminals "20" and "22" at connector (2) of solenoid harness.

If faulty condition is found, replace CVT assembly.

    CVT fluid temperature sensor resistance:

    20 °C (68 °F): Approx. 6.5 kΩ

    80 °C (176 °F): Approx. 0.9 kΩ
