Battery Charging Failure

BATTERY CHARGING FAILURE REFERENCE CHART

Condition Possible Cause Action
Undercharged battery  Accessory drive belt loose or worn Replace accessory drive belt  . See Accessory Drive Belt Removal and Installation .
Battery terminals loose or corroded Tighten battery terminals or replace battery  .
Rectifier, rotor or IC regulator faulty Repair or replace generator  . See Generator Disassembly and Reassembly 
One way clutch pulley faulty Repair one way clutch pulley  . See Generator Disassembly and Reassembly 
Overcharged battery  IC regulator faulty Repair or replace generator  . See Generator Disassembly and Reassembly
