CVT Fluid Change

CAUTION: Failure to take proper precautions when replacing CVT fluid can cause failure of the CVT.
  • Do not use any fluid other than the specified CVT fluid. Use of any other fluid may cause juddering or other faulty conditions.
  • Avoid overfilling the CVT. If the CVT is filled with too much fluid, the fluid can foam and flow out through the breather. The resulting loss of fluid may cause slippage and failure of the CVT.
  1. Lift up vehicle.
  2. When engine is cool, remove CVT fluid drain plug (1) from CVT oil pan (2) and drain CVT fluid.
  3. Install CVT fluid drain plug (1) with new gasket and then tighten it to specified torque.
