  • When DTC P0300/P0301/P0302/P0303/P0304 is detected, MIL blinks or lights up according to detecting condition. For details, refer to DTC P0300/P0301/P0302/P0303/P0304 .

  • Output voltage of ECT sensor signal circuit is unchanged even if variation of IAT is more than 2.5 °C (4.5 °F) and driving time is longer than 700 sec. after warm-up.
2 D/C Lights up
*P0117, see DTC P0117/P0118 . Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit Low Output voltage of ECT sensor signal circuit is lower than 0.15 V for 5 sec. 2 D/C Lights up
*P0118, see DTC P0117/P0118 . Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit High Output voltage of ECT sensor signal circuit is higher than 4.85 V for 5 sec. 2 D/C Lights up

2 D/C Lights up
*P0122, see DTC P0122/P0123 . Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "A" Circuit Low Output voltage of TP sensor (main) signal circuit is lower than 0.3 V. 1 D/C Lights up
*P0123, see DTC P0122/P0123 . Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "A" Circuit High Output voltage of TP sensor (main) signal circuit is higher than 4.64 V. 1 D/C Lights up
*P0125, see DTC P0116/P0125/P0128 . Insufficient Coolant Temperature for Closed-Loop Fuel Control ECT is lower than 10 °C (50 °F) for specified time even if elapsed time from engine stating is longer than specified time. 2 D/C Lights up
*P0128, see DTC P0116/P0125/P0128 . Coolant Thermostat Measured ECT is lower than 78 °C (172.4 °F) even if estimated ECT (depending on engine heat (calculated from MAF, fuel injection volume, etc.) reaches to about 89 °C (192.2 °F). 2 D/C Lights up
*P0131, see DTC P0131/P0132/P0134/P2237 . O2 Sensor Circuit Low Voltage (Sensor 1) This DTC is detected if any one of the following conditions is met.
  • Output voltage of A/F sensor signal circuit (+) is lower than 1.6 V for 5 sec.
  • Output voltage of A/F sensor signal circuit (-) is lower than 0.7 V for 5 sec.
2 D/C Lights up
*P0132, see DTC P0131/P0132/P0134/P2237 . O2 Sensor Circuit High Voltage (Sensor 1) This DTC is detected if any one of the following conditions is met.
  • Output voltage of A/F sensor signal circuit (+) is higher than 2.8 V for 5 sec.
  • Output voltage of A/F sensor signal circuit (-) is higher than 2.7 V for 5 sec.
2 D/C Lights up
*P0133, see DTC P0133 . O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Sensor 1) Ratio of integrated value of short term fuel trim variation per integrated value of A/F sensor output variation is more than specified value in specified driving condition. 2 D/C Lights up

*P0300, see DTC P0300/P0301/P0302/P0303/P0304 . Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected This DTC is detected if any one of the following conditions is met.
  • Misfire rates at 2 or more cylinders exceed specified misfire rate which causes catalyst to damage.

(MIL flashes as long as this misfire occurs continuously.)
  • Misfire rates at 2 or more cylinders exceed specified misfire rate which affects exhaust emission adversely.
2 D/C Lights up
*P0301, see DTC P0300/P0301/P0302/P0303/P0304 . Cylinder 1 Misfire Detected This DTC is detected if any one of the following conditions is met.
  • Misfire rate at specified cylinder exceeds specified misfire rate which causes catalyst to damage.

(MIL flashes as long as this misfire occurs continuously.)
  • Misfire rate at specified cylinder exceeds specified misfire rate which affects exhaust emission adversely.
2 D/C Lights up

*P0340, see DTC P0340  Camshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit This DTC is detected if any one of the following conditions is met.
  • CMP sensor pulse is less than 20 pulses per 8 crankshaft revolutions
  • CMP sensor pulse is more than 28 pulses per 8 crankshaft revolutions
  • CMP sensor pulse is less than 20 pulses between BTDC 75° and BTDC 5° within 8 crankshaft revolutions from engine start.
1 D/C Lights up
*P0420, see DTC P0420  Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold Ratio of integrated value of HO2S output variation per integrated value of A/F sensor output variation is more than specification while vehicle is running after warmed up. 2 D/C Lights up
*P0441, see DTC P0441  Evaporative Emission System Incorrect Purge Flow Variation of fuel tank pressure is less than 1.26 kPa for 4 sec. when EVAP vent valve is closed and EVAP canister purge valve is ON (CLOSE). 2 D/C Lights up
*P0443, see DTC P0443  Evaporative Emission System Purge Control Valve Circuit This DTC is detected if any one of the following conditions is met.
  • Electric current of EVAP canister purge valve drive circuit is higher than 3.5 A for 5 sec. when control duty ratio of EVAP canister purge valve is higher than 10%.
  • Monitor voltage of EVAP canister purge valve drive circuit is lower than 3 V for 5 sec. when control duty ratio of EVAP canister purge valve is lower than 90%.
2 D/C Lights up
*P0449, see DTC P0449  Evaporative Emission System Vent Valve/Solenoid Circuit This DTC is detected if any one of the following conditions is met.
  • Output voltage of EVAP vent valve drive circuit is lower than 3 V for 5 sec. when vent valve is OFF (OPEN).
  • Electric current of EVAP vent valve drive circuit is higher than 1.5 A for 5 sec. even if vent valve is ON (CLOSE).
2 D/C Lights up
*P0456, see DTC P0456  Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (Very Small Leak) Leak detecting pressure of EVAP leak check pressure is more than reference pressure-2 of EVAP leak check pressure. 2 D/C Lights up
*P0461, see DTC P0461  Fuel Level Sensor "A" Circuit Range/Performance Variation of fuel amount is less than 3.7 L (0.98/0.81 gal US/Imp.) even if accumulated MAF is more than specified value. 2 D/C Lights up
*P0462, see DTC P0462/P0463 . Fuel Level Sensor "A" Circuit Low Resistance of fuel level sensor signal circuit and fuel level sensor ground circuit is lower than 20 Ω for 5 sec. 2 D/C Lights up
*P0463, see DTC P0462/P0463 . Fuel Level Sensor "A" Circuit High Resistance of fuel level sensor signal circuit and fuel level sensor ground circuit is higher than 300 Ω for 5 sec. 2 D/C Lights up
P0480, see DTC P0480 . Fan 1 Control Circuit This DTC is detected if any one of the following conditions is met.
  • Monitor signal of radiator cooling fan relay No. 1 drive circuit is higher than specified value for 5 sec. even though command signal of radiator cooling fan is not OFF.
  • Monitor signal of radiator cooling fan relay No. 1 drive circuit is lower than specified value for 5 sec. even though command signal of radiator cooling fan is OFF.
2 D/C Off
P0481, see DTC P0481  Fan 2 Control Circuit This DTC is detected if any one of the following conditions is met.
  • Monitor signal of radiator cooling fan relay No. 2 drive circuit is higher than specified value for 5 sec. even though command signal of radiator cooling fan is at mid or high speed.
  • Monitor signal of radiator cooling fan relay No. 2 drive circuit is lower than specified value for 5 sec. even though command signal of radiator cooling fan is OFF or at low speed.
2 D/C Off
P0482, see DTC P0482 . Fan 3 Control Circuit This DTC is detected if any one of the following conditions is met.
  • Monitor signal of radiator cooling fan relay No. 3 drive circuit is higher than specified value for 5 sec. even though command signal of radiator cooling fan is at high speed.
  • Monitor signal of radiator cooling fan relay No. 3 drive circuit is lower than specified value for 5 sec. even though command signal of radiator cooling fan is not at high speed.
2 D/C Off
*P0500, see DTC P0500  Vehicle Speed Sensor "A" This DTC is detected if any one of the following conditions is met.
  • VSS is lower than 2 km/h (1.2 mile/h) for 4 sec. when engine revolution is lower than 3, 600 rpm at fuel cut (M/T model and CVT model).
  • VSS is lower than 2 km/h (1.2 mile/h) for 4 sec. when engine revolution is 3, 600 rpm or more at D-range (CVT model).
2 D/C Lights up
P0504, see DTC P0504  Brake Switch "A"/"B" Correlation Voltage of "E01-21" terminal and "E01-6" terminal is lower than specified value for 2.6 sec. 2 D/C Off
*P0506, see DTC P0506/P0507 . Idle Air Control System RPM Lower Than Expected Engine idle speed is lower than target engine idle speed by 100 rpm for 45 sec. at idle speed. 2 D/C Lights up
*P0507, see DTC P0506/P0507 . Idle Air Control System RPM Higher Than Expected Engine idle speed is higher than target engine idle speed by 200 rpm for 45 sec. at idle speed. 2 D/C Lights up
*P050A, see DTC P050A/P050B . Cold Start Idle Air Control System Performance This DTC is detected if any one of the following conditions is met.
  • Difference between command duty of IAC and reference duty of IAC is out of range (-20% through +43%) for 10 sec. at cold starting.
  • Command duty of IAC is lower than 1% or higher than 99% at cold starting.
2 D/C Lights up
*P050B, see DTC P050A/P050B . Cold Start Ignition Timing Performance Difference between commanded ignition timing and reference ignition timing is out of specified range (-20° through +5° (CVT model) or -10° through +10° (M/T model)) for 10 sec. at idle speed and cold starting. 2 D/C Lights up
P0532, see DTC P0532/P0533 . A/C Refrigerant Pressure Sensor "A" Circuit Low Output voltage of A/C refrigerant pressure sensor signal circuit is lower than 0.15 V for 5 sec. 2 D/C Off

  • Duty control signal of generator control is maximum (100%) for 10 sec. even if battery voltage is higher than 13.8 V.
  • Duty control signal of generator control is minimum (0%) for 10 sec. even if battery voltage is lower than 12.6 V.
2 D/C Off
P0625, see DTC P0625/P0626 . Generator Field/F Terminal Circuit Low Generator field coil duty is higher than 99.9% (low voltage) for 10 sec. even through generator control is maximum regulation (control duty 100%). 2 D/C Off
P0626, see DTC P0625/P0626 . Generator Field/F Terminal Circuit High Generator field coil duty is lower than 1% (high voltage) for 30 sec. even through generator control is minimum regulation (control duty 0%). 2 D/C Off

EVAP leak check pressure is lower than -0.14 kPa even if EVAP vent valve is operated from OFF (OPEN) to ON (CLOSE) with EVAP leak detection pump ON.
EVAP vent valve stuck closed: 
EVAP leak check pressure is unstable (difference between maximum and minimum is higher than 0.36 kPa) when EVAP vent valve is OFF (OPEN) with EVAP leak detection pump ON.
EVAP leak detection pump stuck off: 
EVAP leak check pressure is higher than -0.14 kPa even if EVAP leak detection pump is ON.
EVAP leak detection pump flow high: 
Reference pressure of EVAP leak check pressure is lower than -4.3 kPa (depending on BARO).
EVAP leak detection pump flow low: 
Reference pressure of EVAP leak check pressure is higher than -1.34 kPa (depending on BARO).

*P2A01, see DTC P2A01 . O2 Sensor Circuit Range/Performance (Sensor 2) Stuck lean: 
Output voltage of HO2S signal circuit is lower than 0.4 V (A/F mixture: lean state) for 40 sec. and difference between HO2S signal circuit MAX voltage and HO2S signal circuit MIN voltage is lower than 0.2 V.
Stuck rich: 
Output voltage of HO2S signal circuit is higher than 0.85 V (A/F mixture: rich state) for 40 sec. and difference between HO2S signal circuit MAX voltage and HO2S signal circuit MIN voltage is lower than 0.2 V.
High output performance malfunction: 
Output voltage of HO2S signal circuit is lower than 0.6 V (A/F mixture: lean state) for specified time. even if A/F mixture based on A/F sensor has been rich state after fuel cut.
Low output performance malfunction: 
Output voltage of HO2S signal circuit is higher than 0.1 V (A/F mixture: rich state) even if fuel cut is activated for 8 sec.
