Fuel Pump Assembly Removal and Installation: Installation

Reference: FUEL PUMP INSPECTION 

Reverse removal procedure, noting the following points.

• Check that mating surface of fuel pump is clean.
• Use new fuel pump gasket (1).

• Align protrusions (1) on fuel pump with aligning hole (2) on fuel pump plate.
• Align straight portion (3) on fuel pump plate with specified position on fuel tank.

• Tighten fuel pump nuts to specified torque.

  Tightening torque 

  Fuel pump nut: 10 N.m (1.0 kg-m, 7.5 lbf-ft)
