DTC Troubleshooting


1. Was "ESP (R) System Check" performed?
YES
Go to Step 2.
NO
Go to ESP System Check ESP (R) System Check.
2. DTC check
Perform DTC Check DTC Check.
Is there DTC(s) other than C1084, C1085 or C1097?
YES
Go to applicable DTC troubleshooting.
NO
Go to Step 3.
3. DTC check for P/S system
Check DTC for P/S control module.
Is there DTC(s) other than C1084, C1085 or C1097?
YES
Go to applicable DTC troubleshooting.
NO
Substitute a known-good P/S control module and recheck DTC. Service and Repair
Substitute a known-good ESP (R) control module if DTC is still detected. ESP Hydraulic Unit / Control Module Assembly Removal and Installation
