DTC Troubleshooting


1. Was "ESP (R) System Check" performed?
YES
Go to Step 2.
NO
Go to ESP System Check ESP (R) System Check.
2. DTC check
Perform DTC Check DTC Check.
Is any DTC(s) detected other than C1038?
YES
Go to applicable DTC troubleshooting.
NO
Replace steering angle sensor and recheck DTC. Steering Angle Sensor Removal and Installation
Substitute a known-good ESP (R) control module if DTC C1038 is still detected. ESP Hydraulic Unit / Control Module Assembly Removal and Installation
