DTC check
- Check DTC.
Is there DTC(s) other than P2004 and P2006? |
Go to applicable DTC (s). |
Go to Step 3. |

IMRC valve motor drive circuit (open) and IMRC valve motor drive circuit (close) check
- Turn OFF ignition switch and disconnect connectors from IMRC valve actuator and ECM.
- Check for proper terminal connection to IMRC valve actuator connector and ECM connectors.
- If connections are OK, check that IMRC valve motor drive circuit (open) (A1) and IMRC valve motor drive circuit (close) (A2) are as follows.
- Wiring harness resistance of IMRC valve motor drive circuit (open) and IMRC valve motor drive circuit (close) is less than 3 Ω.
- Insulation resistance between IMRC valve motor drive circuit (open) and vehicle body ground is infinity.
- Insulation resistance between IMRC valve motor (close) and vehicle body ground is infinity.
- Insulation resistance of wire harness is infinity between IMRC valve motor drive circuit (open) terminal and each terminal at IMRC valve actuator connector.
- Insulation resistance of wire harness is infinity between IMRC valve motor drive circuit (close) terminal and each terminal at IMRC valve actuator connector.
- Circuit voltage of each IMRC valve motor drive circuit (open) and IMRC valve motor drive circuit (close) is 0 - 1 V with ignition switch in ON position.

Is it in good condition? |
Substitute a known-good ECM and recheck. |
Replace IMRC valve, see INTAKE MANIFOLD REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
