Steering Knuckle Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Hoist vehicle and remove front wheel.
  2. Remove front wheel hub assembly, see FRONT WHEEL HUB ASSEMBLY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Disconnect tie-rod end from steering knuckle, see TIE-ROD END REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  4. Remove front wheel speed sensor (1) from knuckle.
  5. Loosen ball joint nut (2).

  6. Remove strut bracket bolts (2) and nuts (1).

  7. Disconnect drive shaft (1) from steering knuckle (2).
  8. Remove steering knuckle (2) from control arm (3) using puller (4).
