Transfer Control Unit: Removal and Installation: Removal

- Switch 4WD shift switch to 2WD and set transfer assembly to 2WD.CAUTION: When removing transfer control unit, transfer state must be at 2WD.
- Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect negative battery terminal.
- Remove the lower instrument panel LH. Refer to [INSTRUMENT LOWER PANEL LH: REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ]
- Disconnect the two transfer control unit connectors.
- Remove the transfer control unit bolts.
- Remove the transfer control unit.
