DTC DETECTING CONDITION CHART

DTC detecting condition Trouble area
P2404: Evaporative Emission System Leak Detection Pump Sense Circuit Range/Performance
EVAP vent valve stuck open:
EVAP leak check pressure is lower than -0.14 kPa even if EVAP vent valve is operated from OFF (OPEN) to ON (CLOSE) with EVAP leak detection pump ON.
EVAP vent valve stuck closed:
EVAP leak check pressure is unstable (difference between maximum and minimum is 0.36 kPa or more) when EVAP vent valve is OFF (OPEN) with EVAP leak detection pump ON.
EVAP leak detection pump stuck OFF:
EVAP leak check pressure is higher than -0.14 kPa even if EVAP leak detection pump is ON.
EVAP leak detection pump flow high:
Reference pressure of EVAP leak check pressure is lower than specified value (depending on BARO)
EVAP leak detection pump flow Low:
Reference pressure of EVAP leak check pressure is higher than specified value (depending on BARO).
