Radiator Cap Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Turn radiator cap counterclockwise until it stops.
    CAUTION: Do not push down radiator cap while turning it.
  2. Remove radiator cap according to the following procedure.
    1. Wait until pressure is relieved (hissing sound is gone).
    2. Push down radiator cap and continue to turn it counterclockwise.
    3. Remove radiator cap.
