Brake Back Plate Removal and Installation: Installation

CAUTION: If parking brake anchor nut is reused, apply engine oil to thread and bearing surface.

Install back plate by reversing removal procedure, noting the following points.

Tighten all fasteners to specified torque.
Tightening torque

Parking brake anchor bolt (a): 12 N.m (1.2 kg-m, 9.0 lbf-ft)

Parking brake anchor nut (b): 200 N.m (20.4 kg-m, 147.5 lbf-ft)

Parking brake cable cap nut (c): 11 N.m (1.12 kg-m, 8.5 lbf-ft)

Upon completion of all jobs, adjust parking brake cable, see PARKING BRAKE INSPECTION AND ADJUSTMENT .
