DTC Troubleshooting

P0630 DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

Step Action YES NO
1  Was "Engine and Emission Control System Check" performed?  Go to Step 2. Go to ENGINE AND EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM CHECK:J24B .
2  Registration data check 
  1. Turn OFF ignition switch and connect scan tool to DLC.
  2. Turn ignition switch to ON position.
  3. Check registered VIN data, see REGISTERED VIN DATA CHECK (EVAP-LEAK-CHECK MODEL) .

Is registered VIN data correct? 		 Go to Step 3. Resister correct VIN data to ECM, see VIN (VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER) REGISTRATION (EVAP-LEAK-CHECK MODEL) .
3  DTC recheck 
  1. Clear DTC, see DTC CLEARANCE:J24B .
  2. Recheck DTC, see DTC CHECK .

Is DTC P0630 still indicated? 		 Check ECM power and ground circuits, see ECM Power and Ground Circuit Check .
If OK, substitute a known-good ECM and recheck.		 End.
