DTC Troubleshooting

P0462, P0463 DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

Step Action YES NO
1  Was "Engine and Emission Control System Check" performed?  Go to Step 2. Go to ENGINE AND EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM CHECK:J24B .
2  DTC check 
  1. Check DTC.

Is there any CAN-DTC? 		 Go to CAN DTC (LOST COMMUNICATION AND COMMUNICATION BUS OFF) TABLE Go to Step 3.
3  Fuel level sensor circuit check 
  1. Check fuel level sensor circuit referring to Step 3 through 4 of P0461 .

Is it in good condition? 		 Go to Step 4. Repair or replace defective wire harness.
4  Main fuel level sensor and sub fuel level sensor check 
  1. Check main fuel level sensor and sub fuel level sensor, see FUEL LEVEL SENSOR INSPECTION .

Is it in good condition? 		 Go to Step 5. Repair or replace defective parts.
5  DTC recheck 
  1. Replace combination meter, see COMBINATION METER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  2. Perform DTC confirmation procedure and check DTC.

Are DTC P0462 and P0463 still detected? 		 Substitute a known-good ECM and recheck. End.
