DTC Troubleshooting

P0335 DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

Step Action YES NO
Was "Engine and Emission Control System Check" performed?  Go to Step 2. Go to ENGINE AND EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM CHECK:J24B .
DTC check
  1. Check DTC.

Is there DTC(s) other than P0335?
Go to applicable DTC (s). Go to Step 3.
CKP sensor power supply circuit check
  1. Turn OFF ignition switch and disconnect connector from CKP sensor.
  2. Check for proper terminal connection to CKP sensor connector.
  3. If connections are OK, turn ignition switch to ON position.
  4. Check that CKP sensor power supply circuit (B1) is battery voltage.

Is it good condition?
Go to Step 4. Repair or replace defective wire harness.
CKP sensor signal circuit and ground circuit check
  1. Turn OFF ignition switch and disconnect connectors from ECM.
  2. Check for proper terminal connection to ECM connectors.
  3. If connections are OK, check that CKP sensor signal circuit (B2) and ground circuit (B3) are as follows.
    • Wiring harness resistance of each CKP sensor signal circuit and ground circuit is less than 3 Ω.
    • Insulation resistance between CKP sensor signal circuit and vehicle body ground is infinity.
    • Insulation resistance of wire harness is infinity between CKP sensor signal circuit terminal and each other terminal at CKP sensor connector.
    • Insulation resistance of wire harness is infinity between CKP sensor ground circuit terminal and each other terminal at CKP Sensor connector.
    • Circuit voltage of each CKP sensor signal circuit and ground circuit is 0 - 1 V with ignition switch in ON position.

Are they in good condition?
Go to Step 5. Repair or replace defective wire harness.
CKP sensor and sensor plate check
  1. Check CKP sensor and sensor plate.

Are they in good condition?
Substitute a known-good ECM and recheck. Replace defective parts.
