Radiator Removal and Installation

Radiator On-Vehicle Inspection and Cleaning

Removal

1) Disconnect negative (-) cable from battery.
2) For A/T model, drain A/T fluid. Removal and Replacement
3) Drain coolant. Cooling System Draining
4) Remove cooling fan assembly. "Radiator Cooling Fan Assembly Removal and Installation: J24B"
5) For A/T model, remove A/T fluid cooler hoses.
6) Remove radiator inlet hose and outlet hose from radiator.
7) Remove front grill. [1][2]Diagrams
8) Remove condenser upper brackets (1) and lower brackets (2) from radiator.





9) Remove radiator from vehicle.

Installation

Reverse removal procedures for installation noting the following.

- Refill cooling system referring to Cooling System Refilling Cooling System Refilling.
- After installation, verify that there is no coolant leakage at each connection.
- Refill A/T fluid (A/T model). Removal and Replacement
