DTC Confirmation Procedure

NOTE:

If DTCs other than aimed DTC are previously detected in DTC confirmation procedure, be sure to troubleshoot DTC previously detected.

1) Turn ignition switch to ON position for 10 sec.

DTC Troubleshooting


1. Was "Engine and Emission Control System Check" performed?
YES
Go to Step 2.
NO
Go to Engine and Emission Control System Check Engine and Emission Control System Check.
2. DTC check
Check DTC.
Is there any CAN-DTC?
YES
Go to CAN DTC (Lost Communication and Communication Bus Off) Table CAN DTC (Lost Communication and Communication Bus Off) Table
NO
Go to Step 3.
3. Fuel level sensor circuit check
Check fuel level sensor circuit referring to Step 3 through 4 of P0461 DTC P0461.
Is it in good condition?
YES
Go to Step 4.
NO
Repair or replace defective wire harness.
4. Main fuel level sensor and sub fuel level sensor check
Check main fuel level sensor and sub fuel level sensor. Fuel Level Sensor Inspection
Is it in good condition?
YES
Go to Step 5.
NO
Repair or replace defective parts.
5. DTC recheck
Replace combination meter. Service and Repair
Perform DTC confirmation procedure and check DTC.
Are DTC P0462 and P0463 still detected?
YES
Substitute a known-good ECM and recheck.
NO
End.
