Installation Procedure

NOTE:
Lubricate the new O-ring prior to installation on the compressor hose.
- Lightly coat the new O-ring with mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.
- Install the new O-ring to the pressure relief valve. Refer to INSTALLATION PROCEDURE .CAUTION: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
- Install the pressure relief valve to the compressor.
Tightening torque
Tighten the pressure relief valve to 9.8 N.m (87 lb in).
- Lower the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE .
- Recharge the A/C system. Refer to REFRIGERANT RECOVERY AND RECHARGING .
- Test the affected A/C joint for leaks using J 39400-A.
