Circuit/System Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Suzuki XL7. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: When removing connectors inspect for damage or corrosion. Damage or corrosion in the following requires repair or replacement of the affected component/connector.
  1. For DTC B0090 39 replace the vehicle rollover sensor.
  2. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the rollover sensor and the SDM.
  3. Ignition OFF, test for less than 1 Ω of resistance between the rollover sensor ground circuit terminal 6 and ground.
    • If greater then the specified range, test the circuit for an open/high resistance.
  4. Verify a test lamp illuminates between the rollover sensor B+ circuit terminal 1 and ground.
    • If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit fuse is open, test the circuit for a short to ground.
  5. Replace the inflatable restraint vehicle rollover sensor.
  6. With a scan tool, clear the DTCs. Verify DTC B0090 is not set.
    • If DTC B0090 is set replace the SDM.
