Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to REMOVAL PROCEDURE .
  2. Install the engine support fixture. Refer to INSTALLATION PROCEDURE 
  3. Remove the engine mount strut bracket. Refer to REMOVAL PROCEDURE .
  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE .
  5. Remove the engine splash shield. Refer to ENGINE SPLASH SHIELD REPLACEMENT - RIGHT SIDE .
  6. Remove the right side engine mount bracket. Refer to REMOVAL PROCEDURE .
  7. Lower the vehicle.

  8. Rotate the drive belt tensioner clockwise to release the drive belt tension.
  9. Slide the drive belt off of the belt idler pulley (1).
  10. Slowly release the drive belt tensioner.
  11. Remove the drive belt from the accessory drive pulleys.
