Front Internal Gear Cleaning and Inspection

- Clean the front internal gear and overrun roller clutch assembly in solvent and air dry.
- Inspect the front internal gear for the following:
- Clutch teeth for notches or grooves that prevent the clutch disc from sliding
- Ring gear teeth for excessive wear, damage, or chipped teeth
- Metal debris embedded in the ring gear teeth
- Overrun clutch roller surface for roughness or wear
- Replace the front internal gear if any of the above conditions are found.
- Inspect the overrun roller clutch rollers for wear or damage.
- Replace the overrun roller clutch if faulty.
