Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Removal and Installation: Removal
WARNING:
To avoid danger of being burned, do not touch exhaust system when system is hot. HO2S removal should be performed when system is cool.
- Disconnect negative cable at battery.
- Hoist vehicle.
- Disconnect HO2S connector (1) and remove its bracket.
- Remove exhaust No. 1 pipe (2). See EXHAUST PIPE AND MUFFLER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
- Remove HO2S (3) from exhaust No. 1 pipe.
