Differential Side Oil Seal Replacement

Lift up vehicle and drain transaxle oil.
Remove following parts.
- Front Drive Shaft see FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION :
- Center shaft (2WD model) see FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION :
Remove oil seal (1) using special tool.
Special Tool

Install a new oil seal (1) to specified position using special tool.
NOTE:
- When installing oil seal, face its spring side inward.
- Confirm oil seal horizontally to surface of case after installing oil seal.

  Distance between case and left oil seal, for 2WD model/4WD model
  
  "a": 1.0 - 2.0 mm (0.04 - 0.07 in.)
  
  Distance between case and right oil seal for 2WD model
  
  "b": 8.5 - 9.5 mm (0.34 - 0.37 in.)
Apply grease to oil seal lip and at the same time check drive shaft where oil seal contacts and make sure of its smoothness.
"A": Grease 99000-25011 (SUZUKI Super Grease A)

Install following parts.
- Front Drive Shaft see FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION :
- Center shaft (2WD model) see FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION :
Pour transaxle oil.
