CONDITION
This bulletin is to inform you that there has been an update made to the following service manuals for selection of the countershaft left side bearing shim in the manual transaxle and "Available shim thickness" table.
CORRECTION
For users of the Online Service Manuals, please refer to the corrections illustrated in this bulletin that have been made to the service manual sections applying to Left Case Disassembly and Reassembly. The following table describes the Service Manuals and the corresponding items that were corrected. The Online Service Manuals have been revised prior to the release of this bulletin.

Reassembly
- Install oil gutter (1), if removed.
- Select countershaft left side bearing shim and differential left side bearing shim as follows.
- Keep pressing outer race with 35 N (3.67 kgf, 7.87 lbf) and turn countershaft assembly and differential case 10 times or more.
- Measure distance "a" of countershaft assembly (1) and "e" of differential assembly (2).
- Measure depth "b" and "g" of left case (3) and "c" and "f" of right case (4).
- Calculate the clearance of "d" and "h" by the following formulas.
Clearance of "d" = Depth "b" + Depth "c" - Distance "a"
Clearance of "h" = Depth "f" + Depth "g" - Distance "e"
- Select shim closest to clearance "d" and "h" from among the following available sizes.
