Air Fuel Ratio (A/F) Sensor Removal and InstallationRemoval
WARNING: To avoid danger of being burned, do not touch exhaust system when system is hot. A/F sensor removal should be performed when system is cool.
1. Disconnect negative cable at battery.
2. Remove condenser cooling fan.
- Manual A/C model
- Automatic A/C model
3. Remove exhaust manifold cover.
4. Disconnect A/F sensor connector.
5. Remove A/F sensor (1) from exhaust manifold.
Installation
Reverse removal procedure noting the following.
- Tighten A/F sensor (1) to specified torque.
Tightening torque
A/F sensor (a): 45 N.m (4.5 kg-m, 32.5 lbf-ft)
