DTC Confirmation Procedure

WARNING:
  • Perform road test in a place where there is no traffic to prevent an accident.
  • Road test should be performed by two persons, a driver and a tester, on a level road.
NOTE:
  • Be sure to troubleshoot first unexpected DTCs previously detected in "DTC Confirmation Procedure".
  • Confirm that the following conditions are met in this "DTC Confirmation Procedure".
    • ECT (Stuck lean and stuck rich) >= 70 °C (158 °F)
    • DTC P0037, P0038, P0131, P0132, P0137, P0138 or P2237 is not detected.
  1. Connect scan tool with ignition mode of keyless push start system in "OFF".
  2. Warm up engine to normal operating temperature.
  3. Drive vehicle at 50 - 100 km/h (31 - 62 mile/h) for 5 min.
  4. Release accelerator pedal, and keep vehicle coasting for 10 sec. with engine braking applied. (fuel cut condition.)
  5. Drive vehicle at 50 - 80 km/h (31 - 50 mile/h) for 1 min.
  6. Stop vehicle and run engine at idle speed.
  7. Check whether O2 sensor readiness/monitoring test has completed or not by using scan tool.

    If O2 sensor readiness/monitoring test has not completed, check vehicle conditions (environmental) and repeat Step  2) through  5).
