Electric Throttle Control System Calibration
NOTE:
After the following procedure, calibrate throttle position.
- Shutoff of ECM power supply (i.e. disconnection of battery cable, replacement of battery or blown "ECM" fuse)
- Replacement of ECM
- Clearance of DTC related to electric throttle control system
- Replacement of throttle body
- Confirm vehicle condition is as follows.
- DTC other than P2176 is not detected
- Engine: Stop
- Accelerator pedal position: Idle position
- 5 °C < ECT < 85 °C
- 5 °C < IAT < 60 °C
- Battery voltage > 10 V
- Select calibration procedure from table below.CALIBRATION PROCEDURE CHART

- Replacement of ECM
- Clearance of DTC related to electric throttle control system
[B] Replacement of throttle body - Perform selected calibration procedure as follows.
Calibration procedure [A]
- Keep ignition switch at ON position for 1 min. or more without running engine.
Calibration procedure [B]
- Disconnect negative cable from battery, and then disconnect connectors from ECM for 30 sec. or more in order to clear calibration data of closed throttle position from ECM.
- Connect negative cable to battery.
- Keep ignition switch at ON position for 1 min. or more without running engine.
- Clear DTC(s).
