Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor On-Vehicle Inspection
- Turn off ignition switch.
- Disconnect CMP sensor connector.
- Turn ignition switch to ON position and check that voltage of CMP sensor connector (vehicle side) between terminals "1" and "2" is 4 - 6 V.
If faulty condition is found, check ECM power supply circuit, ECM ground circuit, wire harness between ECM and CMP sensor and connections.
- Check that CMP sensor signal is outputted properly. See INSPECTION OF ECM AND ITS CIRCUITS

- Wire harness and connections
