Combination Meter Symptom Diagnosis

Combination meter controls operation of each meter, warning light and indicator light using information sent from each controller through CAN communication.

For this reason, it is necessary to diagnose trouble according to following inspection procedure when operation of combination meter is found faulty.

1. Check combination meter power and ground circuit.
2. Using SUZUKI scan tool, check each DTC of all control modules.
   • If some DTC of some control module appears during inspection in Step  2), go to applicable DTC diag. flow.
   • If any of troubles described in table below has occurred independently even though DTC display is normal during inspection is Step 2), inspect subject place according to instructions in table below.

     Seat belt buckle switch (Non-advanced air bag model)	Seat belt buckle switch	Refer to FRONT SEAT BELT INSPECTION .
     	Seat belt buckle switch circuit	Refer to INSPECTION OF BCM AND ITS CIRCUITS .
     Brake warning light	Parking brake switch	Refer to PARKING BRAKE SWITCH INSPECTION .
     	Brake fluid level switch	Refer to BRAKE FLUID LEVEL SWITCH INSPECTION .
     	Parking brake switch circuit and/or brake fluid level switch circuit	Refer to INSPECTION OF BCM AND ITS CIRCUITS .
     Open door warning light	Door switch	Refer to DOOR SWITCH (FRONT/REAR/REAR END DOOR) INSPECTION .
     	Door switch circuit	Refer to INSPECTION OF BCM AND ITS CIRCUITS .
     Turn signal indicator light	Turn signal light switch (lighting switch)	Refer to TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SWITCH (IN LIGHTING SWITCH) INSPECTION .
     	Turn signal and hazard warning relay	Refer to TURN SIGNAL AND HAZARD WARNING RELAY INSPECTION .
