Radiator Removal and Installation

Reference: Radiator On-Vehicle Inspection and Cleaning:J24B

Removal
1) Disconnect negative (-) cable from battery.
2) For 4 A/T model, drain A/T fluid.
3) Drain coolant.
4) Remove cooling fan assembly. "Radiator Cooling Fan Assembly Removal and Installation: J24B"
5) For 4 A/T model, remove A/T fluid cooler hoses.
6) Remove radiator inlet hose and outlet hose from radiator.
7) Remove front grill.
8) Remove condenser upper brackets (1) and lower brackets (2) from radiator.





9) Remove radiator from vehicle.

Installation
Reverse removal procedures for installation noting the following.
^ Refill cooling system referring to Cooling System Refilling:J24B.
^ After installation, verify that there is no coolant leakage at each connection.
^ Refill A/T fluid (A/T model).
