Removal Procedure

Turn the ignition OFF.
Drain the cooling system. Refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING AND FILLING (LY7 GE 47716 FILL) or COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING AND FILLING (LY7 STATIC FILL) .
Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE .
Disconnect the coolant heater cord from the coolant heater.

Remove the coolant heater.
