Preliminary Procedures Remove the control valve body cover. Refer to CONTROL VALVE BODY COVER REPLACEMENT . Perform the service fast learn adapt procedure. Refer to SERVICE FAST LEARN ADAPTS .
1	Input Speed Sensor (ISS) Wire Harness Procedure Attach the DT-47734 speed sensor harness tether to the ISS electrical connector locking tab before removal of old ISS to assist in installation of the new ISS. Special Tools DT-47734 Speed Sensor Harness Tether
2	Input Speed Sensor Bolt M6 x 25 CAUTION: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE . Procedure Apply threadlocker GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) or equivalent to the input speed sensor bolt. Tightening torque 9 N.m (7 lb ft)
3	Input Speed Sensor Tip: After an internal transmission repair or internal part replacement the service fast learn adapt procedure should be performed.
