Preliminary Procedure Raise the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE .
1	Fluid Drain Plug CAUTION: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE . Tip: Place a drain pan capable of containing more than 5 quarts of fluid under the transmission before removing the plug to drain the fluid. Tightening torque 12 N.m (106 lb in)
2	Fluid Level Indicator Transmission will require approximately 5 quarts of fluid. Fill the transmission with fluid. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID CHECK .
